There are four types of moderated threads, which are a great way of leveling your Pokemon, catching new Pokemon, and making money. If you make a mod thread, you can post it here for a mod to pick up. However, you can only have one mod thread going for each character at one given time. This means you can't have both an assignment and a wild thread for the same character at the same time — you would have to finish up one before starting the other.
★ About Mod Threads
There are four types of moderated threads, which are a great way of leveling your Pokemon, catching new Pokemon, and making money. If you make a mod thread, you can post it here for a mod to pick up. However, you can only have one mod thread going for each character at one given time. This means you can't have both an assignment and a wild thread for the same character at the same time — you would have to finish up one before starting the other.
- WILD THREADS - There are several wild boards all around the region, which contain different Pokemon with different level ranges. This is the best way to obtain new Pokemon and a good way to level your current party as well. If you wish to do a wild thread with a mod, you must post it in one of the wild boards with '[Wild]' in the title. Located below this post, I have compiled a list of the common Pokemon found in each Wild board and their level ranges. There are rules for wild threads. In the very beginning of the thread, you must post your entire Pokemon party as well as their chosen movesets. You must include in your starting post what items your character has in their bag (like healing potions, chocolates, Great Balls, etc — this prevents members from just buying items in the middle of their threads and using them). You are allowed five Oran berries and five regular Pokeballs by default, so these do not have to be listed. You can choose to end a wild thread whenever you wish, or it will automatically end when you have used all five of your Pokeballs. In wild threads, you will encounter spawn Pokemon, the common Pokemon of the respective area, and will also have a chance of encountering random, Wishlist, or even rare Pokemon.
- BATTLE THREADS - You are allowed to battle other members/trainers anytime without taking up a mod thread slot. But if you wish to do a battle thread with a mod, you must post it in one of the wild boards with '[Battle]' in the title. Just like with wild threads, you must post your entire team and their movesets, as well as state all the items you have to use, in your starting post. Again, you have five Oran berries by default, so those do not have to be listed. A mod will respond with a challenger, who has 1-4 Pokemon, scaled to your team's average level (meaning if you bring two level 5s, and a level 25, then your level 5s might have a struggle). Battling commences. For every post you make after the start of a battle, you will earn ¥50 (only if you win, and these posts do not include switches). Battle threads should be a little harder than wild threads, and you may anticipate the mod's trainer having a few items. Double battles are allowed.
- GYM THREADS - This is only considered a mod thread if a mod has to pick it up. If the actual gym leader, or their substitute, picks up the thread as they are expected to, then you are free to have another mod thread simultaneously. But if there is no current gym leader/substitute, or the designated gym leader/substitute doesn't respond to the challenge within a week, then a mod will pick up the thread and it will take up your mod slot. You can expect these threads to be harder than Battle threads. Gym leaders and substitutes will have items, and they may be less merciful than your trainer battles. No one wants to just hand out gym badges! If you win, you may progress on to the next gym, and you will receive ¥100 per post after the battle has begun (not including switches). You will also receive a random TM that corresponds with the gym type (Grass gym awards grass-type TM, for example). Located below this post, I have included a list of the gym locations, some general information, a few rules, and the current gym leaders. To find out more about the gym's Pokemon team, their items, levels, etc, you can visit the gym board itself where it should be posted. Once beating all eight gyms, you are free to challenge the Elite Four in any order, and then the Champion themselves!
- ASSIGNMENTS - Another way to make money is to complete assignments, which are all completely optional. All assignments will be posted in their respective assignment boards, where the requirements, reward, and general gist of the assignment will be outlined. These will generally be battle threads, but not always. Claim an assignment, then complete the assignment, to get the reward! Simple, right? Well, not all of them will be easy. You can find the assignment board here.
