Feel free to use whatever template you'd like to post your trainer battles, if you want to use one at all.
Each trainer will have 1-4 Pokemon. Decide what's reasonable by how many Pokemon the other member is using. Also scale your Pokemon's level to match the average level of the Pokemon in the member's party. For example, if Timmy had a level 5, a level 5, and a level 10, you would add 5 + 5 + 10, and divide it by 3. Rounding up, that equals 7. So I would keep your Pokes within a 6-8 level range. You can choose what Pokemon are on your trainer's team. Base them on a theme, or just throw whatever together. Up to you.
We can have a lot of mod threads going at one time, so definitely feel free to just "husk" threads. You don't have to add anything beyond the Pokemon's moves to your post, and leave all the in-character stuff to the other member. To avoid getting bogged down with additional stuff. But if you want to add attitude and responses with your trainer, or just post a whole IC post, feel absolutely free to.
And, make sure the other member is posting 100+ words in each post. And keeping up with their stats. If someone isn't, you can just reply with a "This post doesn't meet the 100 word count minimum, please revise and like this post once the site requirements are met." Something like that.
On your first post, ask the member if they wish to use min or max damage on the calculator.
